Sport for Schools- Sean Gaffney (Invictus Athlete)

On Wednesday 17th April, Sean Gaffney visited the school to the school (Invictus Games & Commonwealth Games athlete) for an afternoon of sport/exercise workshops.

The children were put through their paces - military style; completing a sequence of circuits.

At the end of the day, Sean led a whole school assembly and told the children all about how he got into sports and how he helps others get more fit and healthy.

Many of the children collected sponsorship and will receive a Sports for Schools gift. The school will also receive a percentage of the total raised to put toward sports equipment for the children. A good day all round!
