Key Stage 1 - Litter Picking

At Forest School the children in Years 1 and 2 spent part of the morning making sure our school site was free from litter; they did an amazing job of clearing all the rubbish and managed to fill 4 large bin bags!

They spoke about the damage litter does to the environment and to the insects and animal habitats. After that, the children went on a hunt to find snails and wiggly worms, it was an extremely busy morning! After all their hard work, they finished off by having a good, long sit down with a warm cup of Vimto…..well deserved, I’m sure you’d agree!
