COP26 - Hebden Bridge Pumpkin Festival

Sand In Your Eye have been busy creating a fabulous trail for the Hebden Bridge Pumpkin festival this year. The theme was climate change and the climate emergency. There were various different scenes around the town and the Hebden Royd Climate committee were involved too.

One of the scenes was Greta Thunberg and her Friday climate strike. She was in pumpkin form sat asking other pumpkins to join her in protest. The children created their own pumpkin designs to join Greta and over the weekend the public were able to carve their own pumpkins and place them by her side. Check out the children’s wonderful creations below, both in the school hall ready to be picked up and sat in protest at Butlers Wharf.
